Veriff appoints Product and Technical C-suite Leaders to meet growing demand for AI-powered identity verification 

Behaghel’s and Joshi’s appointments come at a time when fraudulent activity is increasing across the globe, as fraudsters gain access to more advanced technologies and accessible tools. According to Veriff’s 2024 Identity Fraud Report, overall fraud incidents are up 20% compared to the previous year’s findings. As these attempts become more sophisticated and frequent, they risk undermining trust in the business-to-client relationship. Behaghel’s and Joshi’s shift into these distinguished roles better positions Veriff to foster confidence in online relationships and transactions, helping their customers grow their business and tackle the evolving complexities of fraudulent attacks.

Hubert Behaghel: Chief Technology Officer

In his new role as Chief Technology Officer, Behaghel will lead Veriff’s engineering strategy, with a particular focus on enabling his team and nurturing innovation to meet evolving customer needs. His managerial roles in engineering and software development at Amazon and both hands-on and team leadership positions at Sky have prepared him to solve today’s complex IDV problems, remain agile, and enable more scalability with Veriff’s products.

Suvrat Joshi: Chief Product Officer

Joshi assumes his new position as Chief Product Officer building upon 20 years of product leadership experience, including previous roles at Amazon, Facebook, Dropbox, and Microsoft. He will lead Veriff’s product innovation, development, go-to-market strategy, and execution. More recently at Veriff, Joshi has led the launch of 70+ products, including Full Auto IDV and other innovations and upgrades that provide Veriff’s customers with additional applications to reduce fraud and improve overall safety online.

Veriff has a strong product stack that continues to set the standard in IDV and solves customers’ needs in the broader identity verification and fraud prevention space. There is a clear and strong opportunity to build on Veriff's mission of creating the trust and safety layer of the internet.
